# We couldn’t find that hub

This page needs the full personal link we sent you — including everything after the **#**. The easiest fix is to open the original email and click the link again rather than typing it.

If that still doesn’t work, call **360-865-7365** and we’ll send you a fresh one. Nothing is wrong on your end.

A short message from your advisor — about a minute.

**You’re all set.** Everything below stays here as your home base — your review dates, your Schwab login, and anything we need from you. Keep the link; it doesn’t expire.

Your steps

1

### Your documents

Statements, tax return, ID, a voided check. Upload from your computer or your phone.

Files go straight into Four C’s private folder. You don’t need an account anywhere, and no one else can see what you send.

If something on this list is hard to put your hands on, send what you have and tell us which piece is missing — we can usually get the rest ourselves.

**The voided check matters more than it looks.** It is what links your bank to your Schwab account, so money can move both ways later without a trip to the branch. A photo of a check marked VOID is fine. Send it with the button below — never by email or text.

**While you do that,** we’re preparing your Schwab paperwork and building the first draft of your income plan, so nothing waits on us later.

2

### Your profile & agreements

About 20 minutes, all electronic. No printer, no scanner.

Three things: a short questionnaire that fills in what we couldn’t cover in one meeting, our advisory agreement, and the Schwab account paperwork. We pre-fill everything we already know, so most of it is confirming rather than typing.

Your Form ADV Part 2 and Form CRS come attached to the agreement for your records.

**We prepare and check every form before it reaches you.** If a number or a name looks wrong, stop and call us rather than signing around it.

3

### Accounts open, transfers move

Typically 7–10 business days after signing. Nothing needed from you.

Schwab opens your accounts and we coordinate the transfers from your current firm. Schwab will email your Schwab Alliance login directly to you — that one really is them.

Nothing is bought or sold while a transfer is in flight unless we have talked about it first.

The voided check you sent in step 1 is what we use to link your bank, so deposits and withdrawals run straight through from here on.

**This is the step we drive.** We check every transfer daily and chase the other firm when they are slow. You should not have to call anyone.

4

### Your plan and first review

We book this once your accounts are funded.

We sit down together and walk through your plan, how the accounts are actually invested, and what the first year looks like. You leave with a written summary you can keep.

After this, we meet on a regular schedule — and this page stays put as your home base between meetings.

**Before we meet,** we build your written plan and reconcile every account so the numbers we show you are the numbers your statement shows.

5

### Put us in your pocket

The Four C app. Two minutes to set up, and no password to remember.

Everything we have just set up lives in the app too — your balances on the home screen, the documents we exchange, and a direct line to us that isn’t email.

- **Your numbers**Account values on the home screen, without logging into three different websites.
- **A direct line**Message us inside the app. No missed email, no phone tag.
- **Your feed**Notes from us and market updates worth your time — and nothing else.
- **Everything filed**Schedule meetings, read what we’ve written, and send us a document from your phone’s camera.

**Signing in:** use the same email address we have been writing to. The app texts or emails you a code each time — there is no password to invent, forget, or write down.

**This is where we’ll reach you from now on.** When something actually affects your plan, it goes to your feed and your phone — not into a newsletter you have to dig out of a crowded inbox.

Questions people usually have

Why do you need my tax return?

It shows us things a statement never will — how your income is actually taxed, which deductions you are taking, and whether there is a Roth conversion window worth using before you claim Social Security. It is the single most useful document you can send us.

Why do you need my driver’s license?

Schwab requires a government ID to open an account. That is a regulatory requirement rather than a Four C one, and the copy goes to them with your application.

Who can actually see what I upload?

Only your advisor at Four C. Uploads land in the firm’s private folder — not a shared link and not a public folder. Nothing you send is visible to other clients, and nothing is stored on this page.

What happens to my current accounts?

Most of the time your existing account transfers to Schwab *in kind*, which means the holdings move across as they are rather than being sold. If anything does need to be sold — because Schwab cannot hold it, usually — we talk it through with you first.

How long does the whole thing take?

Usually three to four weeks from the day you send documents to your first review. Most of that is transfer time between institutions, which is the part none of us control. We will tell you when something is running late rather than letting you wonder.

What if I get an email asking me to wire money?

It is not from us. We will never email you asking to wire funds, move money, or send an account password — not once, not in an emergency, not from a different address. If you receive one, do not reply to it. Call **the office** first, using the number you already have.

Questions never have to wait for the next step. If something on this page is unclear, that is our fault — ask.

Still needed from you

We have everything we asked for. Thank you.

What’s coming up

Uploads are encrypted in transit and stored in Four C’s private folder. **We will never ask you for an account password, and we will never email you asking to wire money.**
